This channel has no focus, much like its proprietor. Stuff I think is interesting, stuff I think should be preserved for posterity, things you won't find anywhere else.

The CBS Sports Network broadcast of a United Football League game played on Sept. 26, 2012 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas between the Virginia Destroyers and Las Vegas Locos. (This is not the current UFL, but another, more ramshackle league that played four partial seasons from 2009-2012.)

This one is from Sept. 17, 1978 when the Bucs shocked the defending NFC Central Division champion Minnesota Vikings in Bloomington. Jim Thacker and Tom Matte are on the call for CBS. This game also includes one of the most-replayed busted plays in NFL history. As a bonus, there is Jimmy "The Greek" Sny...

Lyn St. James was only the second woman (after Janet Guthrie) to quality for the Indianapolis 500. This WRTV-6 (Indianapolis, Ind.) story focused on her qualification, when she turned the fastest lap by a woman on a closed course (220.902 mph), became the oldest rookie at the time (at 45) to qualify and earned a spot on the outside of row nine. (She would go on to finish 11th and be named Rooki...

Even the people who made this commercial know this isn't funny since they cut him off while he's saying what you can call him. Lol
man the tears are flowing!!! I was in the 11th grade at the time, and this moment brings back such awesome memories, we battled every sunday with our team, and that season, that superbowl win had this city rockin like never before.
Were they already boinking back then in the 90s? They've been married since 2000 according to Wiki
Tyson did Knockout Douglas but tht count was long
Wow. Never thought I'd see this footage again 😂😂😂
To the UFL, in regards to expanding the teams in the UFL, please include the Tampa Bay Bandits. Tampa will provide you with more fan support. More than San Antonio, Memphis, and Birmingham.
If this were 1983, sure.
AWESOME ❤
Why would Fox Sports produce Comcast Sportsnet's past MLS Soccer coverages?
Afraid I don’t follow you. This was a CSN production. I know because that’s me calling the game.
@@thecelebratedmisterkNo way, are you Kenn Tomasch?
Indoor soccer I lovd in 1980.But now, I know why my dad hated it. It's not soccer.
That's was in Tallahassee WCTV 6
As it literally said in the description. :)
Marcus beasley.
Used to love this show
I saw many great goals from the Tampa Bay Rowdies during their heyday in the NASL....but when I saw this it was no doubt the best goal ever. the Strikers were a very talented team and Jan Van Beverin was a world class Goalkeeper....the box was jammed with defenders ...just an amazing goal!

Man I remember these commercials!!! Don't know why but I loved these lol!
The quarterback #15 is that Jimbo Fisher?
That’s him all right!
The song is so snug. When I'm feeling down I watch the Christmas commercials. Yes, sad, but it actually cheers me up. :)
Nelson returned in 1993 . Fantastic recovery , outqualified a future Indy winner Cheever . He still had it .
My high school classmates Rod Strickland 🏀
Love these commercials miss them thanks for video 📸😊
It’s Amazing that actor Paul Giamatti is Bart Giamatti’s son.
Charlie and the Automobile Factory!
That's the greatest soccer goal I've ever seen
Dead within a week. He drank smoked and never exercised. Had the heart of an 85 year old man. Dead dead dead. His death never had anything to do with Pete rose. He was a fat man with extensive heart disease
Gotta get this on somebody’s hip hop mixtape 🔥
I’m moving to anthem in 16 days I’m not ready but I love anthem in the winter
Oh it will be much worse when you get here. :)
3:42 OMG Benjamin Farmer was my classmate when he died, may he rest in peace. His niece was also in our class. We were in 1st grade at Leonard Wesson. I was struck by a vehicle 6 months prior, less than a mile from his accident. I remember having survivor’s guilt at his funeral. I was only 7.
They’re all gay
Before this there was "Wild World Of Sports." I was a kid then and wasn't into sports yet like when this show came out.
Man, I still call that building “Bank 1 tower”
That punt play was sick Would love the nfl if it allowed more play like that
Love it! The good old days!
What a jerk
Thank you!!! Indoor was a difficult game man...much different than pickup indoor soccer I was used to growing up. Haha.
Hey, Chris!
I love Knight... Coach Knight.
Polite burgler turned out not polite salesman
repost
Burglar < salesman 🤣 yup that checks
What a sneaky bastard....
There was no time like the 80s & 90s
i question why this league collapsed,it seemed all the teams had good fan support in these videos.
The reasons were many. They were under-capitalized, gave away tons of tickets, did not have a lucrative TV deal, had several fly-by-night clubs that didn’t pay their players and tried to do all this while playing on Wednesday nights during a recession. And, no, they did not all have good fan support. Memphis and Birmingham drew well. Southern California and Chicago okay. But the league averaged 21k announced the first year and under 14k the second. They just bled money.
I was in the crowd for that game, so I never saw the telecast. This is a real eye-opener. What a treat! Thank you for posting this.
We will never know
Mais 👍
Its play time is what it is! 😂
Jesus Christ is the only hope in this world no other gods will lead you to heaven There is no security or hope with out Jesus Christ in this world come and repent of all sins today Today is the day of salvation come to the loving savior Today repent and do not go to hell Come to Jesus Christ today Jesus Christ is only way to heaven Repent and follow him today seek his heart Jesus Christ can fill the emptiness he can fill the void Heaven and hell is real cone to the loving savior today Today is the day of salvation tomorrow might be to late come to the loving savior today Holy Spirit Can give you peace guidance and purpose and the Lord will John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Jesus
What happened to Bob Warren??? I loved watching him in my pre college days in South Georgia.
It did not end well, let us just say that.
Is there any chance you have a copy of this that doesn't start skipping in the last few minutes, especially the interview at the very end? My kids will get a real kick out of this.
Hi, David. Good to hear from you. This is a digitization of a DVD made from the VHS recording off the cable in 1997. Apologies for the jumping. IF I can find the original VHS, I will re-digitize it, which should be better.
@@thecelebratedmisterk Oh no worries at all! Please don't waste any time looking for it. The fact that something like this exists from my playing days was plenty. Thanks for the reply and posting this video in the first place.
my friends uncle
I thought Nick Nolte was Lance Rentzel
Um, no. He was literally Pete Gent, the author of the book and the screenplay. Rentzel joined the Cowboys in 1967 and was an immediate star, not a veteran trying to hang on and battle through injuries.
